The Junior League of Clearwater-Dunedin received Honorable Mention for The Association of Junior Leagues International’s prestigious “JL” Award for Fund Development at the organization’s 87th Annual Conference for Art Harvest, one of the largest art shows in the area with an attendance of more than 50,000 people in a single weekend each year.
Art Harvest brings over 220 juried fine artists from all over the world, showcases art from local school children and provides children hands-on art experiences through targeted educational activities. Over the past four years the event has netted a total of over $250,000, has provided important funding and a broadened artistic vision for the city, and has led to the creation of the

“The Leagues do an outstanding job of creating programs that promote voluntarism, develop the potential of women and improve communities,” said Debbie Brown Robinson, 2008-2010 President of the Association. “The ‘JL’ Awards recognize and highlight outstanding League accomplishments that serve as examples for League members in 293 different communities.”
The award was presented at a banquet attended by representatives from 293 Junior Leagues in four countries.
